Sandee Gertz is thrilled to have the honor of managing the Novus journal. She is an Assistant Professor at Cumberland focusing on Poetry, Intro to Creative Writing, and Small Press Publishing. She is the author of The Pattern Maker’s Daughter (Poems, Bottom Dog Press 2012) and her credits in poetry and memoir include Gargoyle, Cathexis Northwest Press, Northern Appalachia Review, Green Mountains Review, Poet Lore, The Write Launch, The Ledge, and as a Finalist for the Porch Prize in Fiction and Poetry. Jamie Fleming
Jamie is an English major and Creative Writing minor at Cumberland University, and she works for her university’s writing center as the Head Writing Specialist. When not stressing over her busy schedule, she enjoys reading Southern poetry and taking care of her pet turtle.
Renee Boyer
Renee Boyer is a local of Lebanon, Tennessee. She graduated high school from McClain Christian Academy, and she decided to continue her education at Cumberland University. She has graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Business and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing and English. Both of her parents are creatively and musically inclined, so her interest in the arts is supported and encouraged by her family.
